Re: Birds And Animals
Must be strange having birds like that in your locality, kerch. Hope you're feeling better.

This might be the Garden Spider - looking at it from “underneath”! The Photo was taken using the built-in “close-up setting” of the camera.
PS Before you ask - it is life size!

Great picture of the duck Trigger and the water looks impressive too.Trigger wrote:Mallard Duck
Was walking along a footpath in Oulton Broad when this little shrew appeared; it wasn't bothered about me or the wife, it ran towards us, scurried between my feet (me hoping it wasn't going to make a dash up my trouser leg ) and disappeared down a little hole at the side of the path. Certainly a magic moment for me...I'm easily pleased This happened about twenty minutes after seeing a water vole, certainly twenty minutes we won't forget!

Thanks Mel. I have to admit that the pic of the duck was taken just as a “starter” and I didn’t notice the effect on the water - at least not until seen on the PC and then I saw the effect!Mel wrote:

The said water vole. The little stream at the back of Everitt's Park was covered in algae and when the vole 'plopped' into the water he just disappeared!Mel wrote:This happened about twenty minutes after seeing a water vole...
