It could be safely used forever as long as your PC boots it up but if no bugs are going to be fixed I regard that as no support. Repairing security issues is a minor detail to most people, I will keep using it though as I believe w8 is pants and I don't want a touch-screen monitor. Let's see what W10 is like.boatbuilder wrote:That's only mainstream support not extended support which means Windows 7 can be safely used for another five years.

Mmm,,, So OK I would not want to appear a PLONKER but if that is a single (short distance transmit) what happens when MULTIPLE and long distance (Tx to Rx) as we all probably know the fastest object is limited by the slowest obstacle in its way.boatbuilder wrote:5G researchers manage record connection speed
Record-breaking speeds have been achieved during tests of 5G data connections, scientists have said.
Researchers at the University of Surrey's 5G Innovation Centre (5GIC) managed one terabit per second (Tbps) - many thousands of times faster than current data connections.
The head of the 5GIC said he hoped to demonstrate the technology to the public in 2018.
Ofcom has said 5G could be available in Britain by 2020.
At 1Tbps, it would be theoretically possible to download a file 100 times the size of a feature film in about three seconds. The speed is more than 65,000 times faster than average 4G download speeds.
