Lowestoft Weather

Post by Trigger » Sun Jun 05, 2016 8:07 pm

Someone gave me the name of a weather site: ‘accuweather’ - and being somewhat inquisitive (OK - nosey!) I typed that ‘name’ into Google search. The first info listed was for Local Weather: ‘Lowestoft’ which included ‘Hourly’, ‘Weekend Weather’, etc. How did it know my location!!
Below are a couple of screen shots of the page it displayed.

Maybe your location settings are turned on.

Maybe - I wouldn't know! I was just amused that the location came up.

It never ceases to amaze me how the same organisation (the Met Office) manages to report different weather forecast summaries for exactly the same place. on the same day, at the same time, depending on where you look for the information.

This is how today and the next four days for 'Lowestoft - South of Claremont Pier (Beach)' are being summarised, (a) on their website and (b) on the Met Office app on my Kindle Fire device, about 15 minutes ago.

Do they really KNOW what they are doing?

edit: 12:28 pm: Oh! Half an hour later and the website forecast has all changed!!

Hopefully the thunderstorm here in Lowestoft at the moment will take the 'mugginess' out of the air.

Garden borders are now lakes. The torrential rain will have taken its toll on some of the plants.

However, the seagull stood on the roof opposite didn't seem too perturbed by it all. :D

And I was hopeful it would wait until I got home, but my hopes were dashed and I ended up arriving home like a drowned rat  :)

The seagull is probably waiting to fly into somebody else's picture - I recognise it.
It's grim up North...

With the local temperature today having exceeded 29 degrees C, I notice that the humidity overnight is forecast to be 99% so looks like it could be an uncomfortable one in bed.
