I've just received this email at 7-pm from the Marina Theatre with one huge mistake in it - THE DATE. Just had a look on their website and the concert started just over 10 minutes ago. Even so, had it been correct, 30 minutes notice isn't much.

Has the BBC nothing better to report on than something like this?

With the cost of the BBC licence fee always under scrutiny, understandably so, they waste our money reporting on such trivia as this.

Such things should be left to the local media who take in finances from advertising - a bit like the Lowestoft Journal who report on serious incidents as this one I read on Friday where a poor woman was killed in a road accident at Haddiscoe - only to find such a serious matter was interspersed with unnecessary adverts and the like, which makes the report difficult to read as you are interrupted by the unnecessary downloads that keep appearing between the lines of text whilst trying to do so. Such website displays should be reserved for trivia matters as that one reported by the BBC - not serious ones such as the serious accident.

Just looking back through this topic and noted your post from earlier this year, kerch.

I posted some images yesterday in the 'Skies' topic which were taken just after sunrise a few days ago from the Gull Wing Bridge live stream. Although you can't tell from the 'stills' I noticed when I took the screenshots that 'Mr Gulliver' was actually working. I don't remember the last time I saw 'him' working on that camera, and I look at it most days at some time or other and it does catch my attention when it is working.
