R.I.P., Ennio Morricone.
I was very saddened to hear of the death yesterday in Rome of composer and conductor Ennio Morricone at the age of 91. He has been my favourite composer of film music soundtracks for many years and in particular those of the spaghetti westerns. He really was an icon of the film music industry.
