I had that last year with an LED bulb bought from our local Tesco store. Didn't have the receipt of course, but took it back and was given a replacement. Strangely, when an LED bulb goes they seem to get heavier. As they are promised to last something like 10,000 hours, if they stop working within a few years I'd take it back.

I'm afraid the LED is going to be the norm soon and what a pain in the rear that is! I think we will get used to them but I use a wandering lead lamp at work where I have had a stash of the old filament bulbs though now that has run out and I have been supplied some LED replacements, they are in no way as good as the old ES bulb. Dull and yes the light is even but I like to be able to direct the light ! LED emit a very even glow and use a lot less energy
Im searching the web for 100w real bulbs
