Replies To Posts

I notice that when making a post at the bottom of the page there is a box "notify me when a reply is posted" which must be ticked to receive replies via e-mail alert.

This has to be ticked on every new Topic or Thread the first time you contribute. Over "The other side" this was not needed.

This is just a heads up. It is so easy to forget. (Well for me anyway!)

There is a setting whereby you can be notified of replies for all posts. You need to look in your user control panel.

Look under Profile, Edit Posting Defaults. (see image)

I've noticed that my number of posts has n't changed from 751 for ages ,checked else where and the total is well over 800.The date of my last visit is way out too ..................clock is OK though.Not bothered just wondered why .

My number of posts does not change either. It was like this when the site was new and then it was corrected. Looks like it is back to it's old ways.

Not sure what you mean AyB. Your current post count on here states 331. Post again and see what happens. Where does your 751 come from? Your last visit also states 10-45 am today in your profile. The date on the left along side your posts is the date joined.

I can now see that from this post. I will see if I can find out why.

I can't see anything untoward in the settings that could be preventing your post number from incrementing when you post. At this point in time you should be reading 451 posts. I will need to refer the matter to Alice to see if she can find out why this only appears to be happening on your account.

Sorry kerch I wasn't thinking straight this morning as I had something serious on my mind from first thing - like the fraudulent use of my bank debit card - so I obviously never read the posts properly before responding, hence my confusion earlier over the number of AyB's posts. I will check some other members' numbers before I contact Alice in case there are any more.
