It mast be 15 Years since I last scribed in this forum. Some familiar names I see are still are still showing up in the topics being discussed which is good to see.
I shall be 94 next month, my lovely wife died about severn years ago after a 64 year marriage. Life has to go on and I am trying to make the best of my last (few) years.
Few people of my age are as fortunate as I am in health and fitness, I play bowls three times a week Chess on Monday evenings and three sessions of Gym per week.I am also a life member of a snooker club but thats only a couple of times per month.
I still have to do a bit of Gardening at my bungalow which i'm trying to sell.
I live on my own so I still have all the chaws of a house holder. You may have noticed that my composition is not special but that was due to little schooling during the war years and I have never caught up.
During my spare time my thoughts are that I would rejoin Mylowestoft, try to participate on you site and to enjoy your company.
Bless you all.
Aussie K

Re: a reintroduction of my self after a long absents.
Hi Aussie K, welcome back! It's great to know you are doing so well with so much activity at 94 years-young. I wish I was able to boast the same and I'm 17 years behind you.
It's not as long as you think since you last posted on here. It was THIS POST in May 2018, so only six and a half years ago and I remember you mentioning about the sad loss of your wife on here towards the end of 2017. I also lost my dear wife in August 2022 after 53 years of marriage.
Unfortunately since you last posted some of our older members have since joined the 'forum in the sky' and there are nowhere near as many people posting on here now as there used to be, so it's lovely to see you back posting and I hope you are able continue for many years to come - in between all your other activities of course.
Maybe some of the other forum members who maybe still look in and are able to post, but just don't bother, will see your post which may inspire them to return to posting once more.
I look forward to seeing more posts from you in the future.
All the best, and take care. John
