Sometimes you kind of get tired of the same old, same old. Tonight I'm making a shepherds pie...yum.

Tonight it was grilled lamb leg steaks with chips and cabbage and of course not forgetting the mint sauce. Makes a change from the 'traditional' Sunday meal.

For lunch we had roast chicken, veggies and Yorkshire pud. This evening we had a tuna salad.

Thanks for your replies. It's nice to read what everyone is having. Might get some ideas to try something different for a change.

It's a pleasure, Karen. Tomorrow I am planning an 'all-home-made' beef bolognese made in the slow cooker with pasta.

I have a joint of beef cooking in the slow cooker as we speak. Tomorrow I am out for lunch at the Oddfellows so don't have to worry.

Whilst in Sainsbury’s yesterday, I espied, in the chilled food section, a brand-name new to me - “Higgidy” - and, being of a nosy disposition, checked further - found it’s a small company (in Shoreham-by-Sea) making pies, quiches and other such delectable things.

I bought a Smoked English Bacon & Mature Cheddar Quiche: “Seeded shortcrust pastry crammed with mature cheddar and sautéed onions in a creamy free range egg filling, topped with smoked English bacon lardons.” Served hot - it’s V-e-r-y Scrumpshus! And highly recommended by me - plus I get the other half today! http://www.higgidy.co.uk/

Sounds fine, FC. But me, I certainly wouldn't want the mustard with it.
Just put my beef bolognese in the slow cooker for this evening. cook2

A bowl of scrumptious home-made Greek Yoghurt with honey and muesli. I have a bowl of this most days and the yoghurt costs about 55p a litre to make from fresh milk. I make about two to three litres a week. The toppings can be whatever takes your fancy - yummy!
