What is your favourite supermarket?

Post by Gary » Fri Feb 14, 2014 5:45 pm

I am just curious to know where people shop most often? If you shop at more than one store then just choose the store that you shop the most or whichever is your favourite.
My favourite supermarket is Morrisons which are perhaps not the cheapest, but they do have a lot of food that I love to eat!
I do also shop at the co-op as it's the only large store in Bungay, which is handy but I prefer to drive to Beccles for my main food shopping!

A very hard subject matter for me to list as a favorite
there are reasons for myself and wife using one shop and not another but on the whole there IS NO favorite but a variety of places to obtain our favorite items.
The T###o chain is off our list though :D

On the whole Morrisons have what I need but there are some items that Lidl stock that I am happy to buy purely on price.

1 Lldl
2 Aldi (would tie for first place if it was nearer me)
3 Asda

We shop on a Thursday,

1 Lidl to buy fruit and veg' mostly.

2 Followed by Asda for the general bulk of our shopping.

Note, both stores are less than half a mile apart which makes it convenient to visit both.

We receive a Llidl newsletter weekly online listing special offers - weekend and during the week offers.

Petrol or Diesel always from Asda purchased when visiting Thursday for the shopping.

We also visit Dereham or Sherringham once a week ( our day out) and often buy fruit and veg' from the stalls as they allow the customer to select what they want as apposed to Norwich market where the stall holders do the selecting from the back so that you cannot see what is being put in the bag. Been caught to many times in the past.

We will use our local Tesco supermarket when we receive through the post vouchers, like £1.25p off a cooked chicken amongst other vouchers. Wouldn't you ??

I don’t have a favourite supermarket! Tesco in town is my “corner store”! I usually do my main shop at Morrisons or Asda - on a “swings & roundabouts” basis! If I’m in Norwich or Yarmouth - then it’s Sainsbury for me! :D

I have just added another store to the poll (Marks & Spencer) and in so doing it appears to have wiped the poll results. Please can all of you who voted so far do so again, thanks!

We do a lot of our shopping at Morrisons but also go to Lidl's for various items too.

We've been given several £10-off vouchers, the current Mrs H went there and only bought the things on offer so that we did actually save some money and now they've given us another handful of them.
It's grim up North...
