Re: General Random Pictures

Latest post of the previous page:

The only explanation is that the pot is sufficiently far enough onto the deck for it not to reflect in the water and be viewed from the position from which you took your picture. The edge of the boat interferes with the straight line to the water's surface to where the pot would be reflected up to your line of vision from the water's surface. If the canal was wider you would then be stood further away from the boat and, depending on the 'new' width of the canal there might then be a line of reflection to you. I hope that makes sense. All down to the laws of reflection. Gosh, that took me back to my school days. :D

edit: I was already writing this when frankie made his post.

I expect these posters could be worth a bit on Flog It Mel.

Well at least you can't see the metal kerch, not like some I have seen. A pity it goes all the way down to the ground and you can't see a trunk which would give it more of a tree appearance.

This is Warton Crag, one of the last things in Lancashire before you get to Cumbria. Warton is the village just below the crag and Carnforth, where I live, is the town in the foreground. There is a pub in Warton called The George Washington which purports to have links to the famous US president - must have popped in for a beer once upon a time. http://www.georgewashingtonwarton.co.uk/
