Re: Landscapes & Waterscapes
The canal is being drained ,long stretch between the Villeneuve lock & Portiranges lock. Some boat owners did n't move their boats in time .The big barges sit on the bottom upright .

Re: Landscapes & Waterscapes
As it was a lovely Saturday afternoon we had a drive down to Southwold. These are a few of the pictures I took.

Re: Landscapes & Waterscapes
I was looking at this BBC webpage this morning which contained the following image:
Image: Ricky Greenhowe
Althought the image is of a sunrise in Aberdeen, I initially thought it could have been of a sunset in Lowestoft. This is one I took in September 2019 that made me think that:

Re: Landscapes & Waterscapes
Are the trees dead, or unsafe, kerch? If not, then I can't understand the need to fell them as surely that would go against all the environmental issues we are led to believe are harming the planet, even if it is only about a dozen trees.

Re: Landscapes & Waterscapes
last year all those trees were in full leaf no sign of dead wood . The village OAP's will miss them lovely place to sit on a hot day. I can understand felling the one nearest the lock as a foot bridge is supposed to be build there .But why fell the rest ?
The road bridge is too narrow for buses to go over it at the same time as cars & the paths either are very narrow & getting rid of them is the only way to make the bridge wider & people on foot safer
