Indeed it is Mel, the only one I ever sailed on, in 2008. That is the owner behind me - probably panicking. I had the pleasure of navigating it up the Orwell estuary (on the motor) for several miles. However that picture has been 'doctored' for effect - but only to remove some land on the horizon. Here it is the original.

I can't remember the day I took this photo but I can certainly remember the moment I saw this little bird sitting on that post, and I am smiling now at the memory

Re: Pictures with Words
Now I'd have thought you would have gone for 'The Life of Birds', Mel.
It so happens that most of my reading these days is done with the Kindle.

Re: Pictures with Words
I do most of my reading on a Kindle nowadays Boatbuilder. I would certainly read 'The Life of Birds' but I think it would be a book I pick up and browse.

Re: Pictures with Words
Of course that sort of book (Life of Birds) is not the kind suitable for Kindles as you couldn't enjoy the pictures as you can in a proper book. Maybe if you are using one of the Fire (colour) versions but even then, still not the same.

Re: Pictures with Words
I tend to use my Kindle mostly when I am reading in bed and apart from a dictionary (which came with the Kindle) all I have on it is fiction. During the day if I get time to read it is usually newspapers, magazines or reference type books, so I can flick through and look at the pictures
