Or sometimes - "in the water"! And the boat's name is . . . believe it or not . . . "Titanic"!Trigger wrote:Just messing about on the water.

Re: People
Saw this keen swimmer this morning - bit concerned 'cos in one photo you see something following him! Don't think it was the Loch Ness monster as Nessie doesn't come this far south.

Perhaps he's far too young to know anything of that name. He looks about 15 and they don't teach 'em much at school these days . .

Re: People
I bet there's not that many 15-year-olds who have never heard of Titanic. It's still banded about on the TV a lot and don't you think his parents never commented about it?

Think that this could, like the tale of the Titanic, run and run until it eventually sinks!boatbuilder wrote:I bet there's not that many 15-year-olds who have never heard of Titanic. It's still banded about on the TV a lot and don't you think his parents never commented about it?

Re: People
I saw this young lady at the Royal Norfolk Show, she was performing on the BBC stage but I didn't catch her name although I got a picture. Then just recently I was in Norwich and thought I recognise that busker it was the same singer and her name is Vic Allen. She has a few songs on YouTube, and she is pretty good.

Re: People
Nice to hear Buskers who were performing a song I knew (no, it wasn’t by Mozart!) “Serenade in Blue” (Glenn Miller) – usually I tend to see “The Wailers” who sing – I use the term loosely! – with the mike too close to their mouth, and usually unintelligible words. At least they were musicians!

Re: People
Mel, having just seen you mentioning in another topic your visit to Africa Alive on Monday, I guess those dancers must be resident there every year. I posted a video of them in the Random Thread four years ago, which I had taken in 2009.
