Being in a hide I managed not to frighten this muntjac deer as it wandered about the reserve at North Cove, but it certainly stayed alert, its ears picking up the slightest sound.

Took this morning's constitutional t'other side of the bridge! Managed to walk the length of the South Pier (as far as you can!) - and back again!
Saw this bird (see below) and managed to get a few photos despite the strong, cold wind - which didn't help when the zoom was extended!
Had a look at various bird ID websites and think this could be a Turnstone (?).

Further to the aforementioned birdy - having delved a bit further (RSPB) I'm sticking with my first thought - until I'm able to consult an ornithologist (providing I can find one!).

When you are that way again Trigger keep a look out for a Turnstone with one leg. 'Stumpy' the wife and I call him (could be a her :) ) and he has been around for a few months but I haven't managed to get a picture yet. We have even spotted him in Oulton Broad...unless there is two unlucky Turnstones with a leg missing :) ...so he seems to be managing alright just hopping about 8-)

Saw this deer on Oulton Marshes...

The sunken boat on the canal has new "renters". The first photo looks as if there's two Coypu, the other two photos five.
