Does anybody remember that poor old Mandrill who was stationed at the entrance to that indoor mini zoo in GY many years ago? He only had one thing on his mind...

Re: Birds And Animals
Those soldier beetles certainly like the game of leap-frog Kerch, whenever I see them down the marshes they are always playing it
This bee was hanging upside down having a drink, but I thought the picture looked better this way so I have turned it 180 degrees.

Re: Birds And Animals
I was pleased to see this woodpecker today in Kirkley cemeterey as you don't see many about (well I don't anyway ), it was just to far away to get a good picture but I did manage to watch it flying from tree to tree for a little while.

Re: Birds And Animals
I love woordpeckers and we don't see many here, only in the winter time it seems. One did make so many holes in the maple tree in our front yard that when we had high winds the whole branch snapped off and fell!
