Re: Skies
Thanks kerch - it was one of the few times when you see a lovely photo (whilst driving) and I was able to stop in a layby, open the window - and get the photo!kerch wrote:Very nice Trigger ,the skies are a nasty shade of grey here , been the same for a few days .

Re: Skies
Lovely skies Kerch,Cobalt blue, bit of Paynes grey, I never stop looking at the sky colours which never cease to amaze me,indeed I tend to look at everything I suppose with a view to how would I go about interpreting the scene on paper.

Re: Skies
That is the thing Kerch, people don't have time these days to appreciate how wonderful nature can be,that is why I like to draw and paint.I found the following some time ago and I think it is very true.kerch wrote:One thing about skies they are never ever the same ,always something interesting going on if you take the time to look .
The Purpose of Art
It is in order to really see,to see ever deeper, ever more intensely, hence to be fully aware and alive, that I draw what the Chinese call 'The Ten Thousand Things" around me.
Drawing is the discipline by which I constantly rediscover the world.
I have learned that what I have not drawn,I have never really seen, and that when I start drawing an ordinary thing,I realize how extraordinary it is,sheer miracle.
