That changed when I lived in Lowestoft just a few fishing boats ( rowing boats) on that part of the beach.

Queuing for ice-cream on Lowestoft seafront on a sunny and warm October afternoon; needless to say I joined the queue and had a very tasty '99' in a waffle cone 8-)

The wreck of the old leisure craft (reputedly once owned by Norman Wisdom) is finally being removed from Lake Lothing.
