I played bowls there on many occasions, I would have been paying for the panel shop ECW in the fifties, and had a few pints there. a good pub twas the Marquis of Lorne.

New building work for Saffron Housing Trust. This is in St Peter's Street - at the High Street / Triangle Market end. This building is, I think, roughly on the site of the old Slaughter House.

Geneva House - High Street. Seem to recall (in some far-off time) it being a Men's Outfitters - and the clock worked then!

I have never eaten there Funkychick, I tend to go next door to the 'Pantry'...never ever had a bad meal there.

Once declared the ugliest building in East Anglia by the Suffolk Preservation Society the Dunelm shopping centre is not looking so bad in my opinion nowadays...maybe it was before its time ;) :)
