Nice photos Trigger, the font we looked at on Tuesday located in the church at North Walsham had the covering tower like in your photo. One of the ladies in the church was telling us they lift it up so it concertinas to enable the vicar to use it at Christenings. We watched Flog it last night on TV and the very church we had visited in North Walsham was featured in the program which was coincidence we thought.

We went over to Beccles this afternoon and after spending some time by the river we then had a coffee before I pushed my wife in her wheelchair up the hill to St. Michael's church. Image

A lovely church that Boatbuilder. Don't know if you have ever climbed the clock tower at St.Michael's but if you haven't it is well worth the leg ache to get some great views of the surrounding area.

St. Margaret's, Herringfleet.

Many years since I visited that Church! A little gem in the depths of Suffolk.

This shows one of the three figures shown on the Lady Altar in the Church of John the Baptist, Lound. This figure depicts the Blessed Virgin with Christ child.

Nice photos Mel,a recent visit to Cromer made me realize what a magnificent church, would have liked to take some photos myself however there had been a high tide and was advised not to enter the church yard due to the likelyhood that there could be some local residents crawling about. Good Afternoon Mel, it is well worth a look if you are out that way.
A little tip, take a few pound coins, as there is a meter to raise
funds which turns on the spotlights aimed at the ceiling, makes
all the difference, it looks amazing in the flesh...
