Re: Churches
I think it is St. Patrick on the left getting rid of the snakes, St. George in the middle slaying the dragon but who is the bloke on the right with the didgeridoos? I don't think it is St. Rolf!!

Definitely not, Mel and never will be.Mel wrote:...... I don't think it is St. Rolf!!
I believe it is St Andrew holding the Gospel Scroll.
Did you know that as well as Scotland he also has the following Patronages:
Barbados, Ukraine, Russia, Sicily, Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Patras, San Andrés (Tenerife), Diocese of Parañaque, City of Manila,[1] Amalfi, Luqa (Malta) and Prussia; Diocese of Victoria; fishermen, fishmongers and rope-makers, textile workers, singers, miners, pregnant women, butchers, farm workers, protection against sore throats, protection against convulsions, protection against fever, protection against whooping cough
As stated in the Gospel according to Wikipedia.

Re: Churches
I just checked him out Boatbuilder and yes I agree it is St. Andrew but I think the didgeridoos is the wood he was crucified on, as he was crucified on a X-shaped cross which we know now as the saltire.boatbuilder wrote:I believe it is St Andrew holding the Gospel Scroll.
Now I know what that cross on his flag means...good old Wikipedia
