Latest post of the previous page:

I just happened to come across this variation of Ennio Morricone's 'Once Upon a Time in the West' by the 'Bel Canto Choir' of Vilnius, Lithuania.

That's a lovely performance!

Here’s another version of that – by unknown orchestra plus soloist:

Excellent performance, Trigger. I note that it was being performed in the Hilton, Budapest.

This is the same music Trigger - André Rieu - and it is accompanying a video of the beautiful Tuscany countryside. It really makes you want to be there. The video is over six minutes long and the music is repeated to cover its duration.

The soloist is Andre Vasary - male Soprano – he doesn't use the falsetto 'voice'.

Here's a video of a wedding that took place in 1913. I have the feeling it cost a few guineas.

Interesting to see the bride and groom leave the church by car. These days they like to go by horse and carriage. :D I suppose it was a novelty.
Well preserved film.

There are are plenty of others, boatbuilder, Youtube gets plenty of stick for the bad stuff and not enough praise the good material.

The digitising of imagery from old celluloid film can only be as good as the quality of the film itself and how well it has been looked after will allow - even after 'cleaning-up', so I can't see how YT can be criticised as they don't upload them, only host them

I was referring to the controversial material, boatbuilder, not the quality of the films. The bad press far outweighs the good, it's the old story of the silent majority.

Sorry Dave, I obviously misinterpreted your comments. There is always the danger that those sort sof things will happen given the freedom that people seem to have to upload more-or-less whatever they want. The same is also happening with Facebook, which is a shame, although admittedly, I'm not a great lover of that website. There will always be people who will abuse the system.

You probably had a quick look at Trigger's ' Rio Carnival 2017' before posting, boatbuilder, it does take your mind in other directions. :o

I didn't even know it was on the same page, Dave, as my browser takes me straight down to the most recent post. At least we know why you sometimes get distracted. :D

This was made in 1908, long before anyone even dreamt of CGI.
