Latest post of the previous page:

SB. The top one of your images doesn't display because it is a .tif file. I will see if that format can be added to the settings.

Watch this space!!!!

edit: I have just checked the settings and .tif is shown as an accepted format so I don't know why it won't display. Maybe the file is corrupt. Can you try re-saving the image on your computer in the jpeg format. You may be able to do that by opening it in 'Paint' and then 'Save As' and see if you can change the format to .jpeg or .jpg in the drop-down below the file name.

I have now done it for you, SB. Gosh! I'm good to you. :D

A picture of my late Mother-in-law with her father taken about 1915-16. I scanned this a couple of years ago from, I think, the print - but then it might have been the negative. Also a couple of pictures scanned from prints of 'you-know-who' - one with his 'big sister' :D

My mum is the little girl on the left (she will be 95 this year), the picture with her younger sister and parents was taken on Lowestoft beach.

Is it my imagination Mel, or does your grandfather look a bit like Alexander Armstrong?

Yes I can see a slight resemblance Boatbuilder. I think he looks more like Ken Dodd in this picture with my mum and auntie :D

I would have thought windswept although with the two girls having their hats on I doubt it was windy, Mel.

Did you use his picture for one of your avatars either on here or the other site as it looks familiar?

One of me with my Dad and sister about 1949 or 1950.
