There are, too many show America cop shows medical dramas and very old films .

I'll Watch nature films and docmentaires if they are shown but alot of the presenters talk as if the viewer is mentally defficent plenty of talk but not much content. :nono:

Coming up soon, I thought this might be of interest

For four consecutive days at 20:00 (BST) on BBC2, starting on Monday 15th October is a series of programs "Autumnwatch - New England" which is coming live from the USA. This should prove to be interesting to see the autumn changes which are quite spectacular in that part of the US.
Here is some detail for the first program.

I shall certainly be watching Boatbuilder, I have always found the series "Autumnwatch" and "Springwatch" interesting and informative with some superb camera shots of the wildlife. I was disappointed when Martin Hughes - Games left as I thought there was great chemistry between himself, Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan which entertained the viewers. But saying that we must remember it is the animals and the birds which are the stars of the programmes...and maybe a few trees in the next series :)

Thanks for the info, BB! Have set the Humax to record all episodes - in HD of course!

Yesterday - Tuesday , there were two programs on TV that had features in them about Lowestoft.

At 9-15am on BBC1 in 'Home Front Heroes', tenor Alfie Boe visited the original headquarters of the Royal Naval Patrol Service and the Memorial in Sparrows Nest.

At 7-30pm on ITV1, the entire 'Judge Rinder's Crime Stories' featured the case of Adele Bellis who had acid thrown over her in 2014.

No doubt they are both available on 'catch-up' if you missed them.

I suppose this link will 'fit in' here. It's to a BBC project which has the details online for past BBC radio and television (where applicable) programmes going back to the 1920's. Choose a decade, a year, an issue of the Radio Times and then browse the stations and programme details for any particular day. At the moment its most recent date for programmes is 1st January 2010.

We watched the last episode of 'Mrs Wilson' last night and enjoyed it even though it wasn't easy keeping up with Alexander Wilson's many lives. I found this article which explains, or tries to, what was truth and what wasn't.
If it were not for Thomas Edison, we would all be watching television in the dark.

I wonder why they only showed four episodes. They'll probably start showing the other four soon, now you've got the DVD. :D

I wondered that ,sometimes they redo programmes ,they have the same name as the English version (but in French)but the content is presented differently ;BBC maybe sell them made to measure.

Not 'What We've Watched On TV', more what to watch. Today on ITV at 12.15pm Bargain Hunt comes from Lincolnshire and has Justin Hawkins from The Darkness competing. Maybe he'll spot a guitar or two to auction.
If it were not for Thomas Edison, we would all be watching television in the dark.

I think it is time for the BBC to change the format for their Springwatch/Autumnwatch/Winterwatch series of programmes. The latest Autumnwatch is looking tired and dated, nature now seem to take second place to the presenters who think the programme is about them.

I don't know if they are still being produced by the same producer, but if not then it is likely that could be behind the 'change'. Different producers no doubt have their own ideas, not necessarily for the better in some cases.

I was quite intrigued to read the programme detail of a programme that is being aired for the first time tonight on Channel 5.

I think, having read the first line of the details, they are a little late with the reference to PPI as it is unlikely there will be any more of them, now the deadline for claims came and went almost three months ago.

I've just been watching a wonderful tribute to flautist Sir James Galway, who is 80 today, on BBC4.

It's certainly worth a watch on iPlayer if you never saw it.
