I won the Long Jump in my first year at secondary school and got an engraved plaque which I still have (I jumped 12'-3").

I believe behind the scenes there is talk of a monetary prize. I am all for that, blow this "It is the taking part that counts", what a load of tosh; we want a prize!! I have never won a prize, nearest I got was at a swimming gala many moons ago. I entered the 'Who Can Stay Under The Water Longest' competition...when I surfaced all the prizes had been given out and the pool was closed

Just for info, the Mercedes Owners club where I pinched this has just been closed down by the mediator at 1,000 post's. Russ was always going to be the winner just the same as Boatbuilder is

I think this topic has been around for many years as I believe Jesus once said “many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first”. So at this moment I am first as I am last; and as I am first there is a good chance I will be last. AJ this is a very confusing topic!!

I suppose it is quite straight forward AJ, a competition to come last. I am not to sure about this getting 'our members closer together' though, leave that to the MBO's
