Latest post of the previous page:

I wouldn't have got any of them Dave. Never heard of the first one anyway as I'm not into wrestling. I thought that one might have been Yul Brynner but as he wasn't Canadian, that ruled HIM out!

Well done Anjalli for getting Jim Carrey. :D

I think 'splitting the nose' was a little unfair as well. That's the sort of thing Baron Frankenstein would have done. :D

Quote from celebritynetworth.com 'Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, is an American actor, former professional wrestler and entrepreneur who has a net worth of $800 million'. Compare that to 'Tom Cruise is an American actor and producer who has a net worth of $600 million. Over the last three decades, Tom Cruise has starred in dozens of major blockbuster movies and today is generally considered one of the biggest stars in Hollywood'.

Thanks guys, I like the Rock more as an actor than a wrestler. I have to watch Black Adam at some point. He is supposed to be quite good in it.

I think I might have an idea that will keep boatbuilder occupied for a little while, Anjalli. Watch this space. :D

A 'Face' just for you, boatbuilder, the three people that contributed to the finished image have a connection I'm sure you'll realise quite quickly. Naming them might be a bit harder.

I think one (mouth/chin/moustache) may be Bruce Grobbelaar.

Correct, boatbuilder, the other two are Liverpool legends you'll know well.

I'd never met any of the Liverpool legends, Dave, so I can't say I know them well. There are so many since I started watching them over 65 years ago - hundreds of them are all legends. I can't figure out any more from that picture with any confidence. Sorry! :(

They are Phil Thompson, eyes, Bruce Grobbelaar, moustache, mouth and chin, and Alan Hansen, everything else. I appreciate it is difficult with three faces being used, but if only two are used it becomes very easy.

They were some of the names that went through my head but nothing convinced me. If they had been three separate pieces stitched rather than the eyes inserted between the hair and nose of Hansen then it might have been different.

A slightly different question:

The map below is of part of the Suffolk/Norfolk border. There are two places named on the map that have a connection with a series of detective novels that was also made into a TV series. Can you find the two place names, their connection and the name of the TV series?

I'm guessing they are the Adam Dalgliesh mystery novels by P.D. James, boatbuilder. I remember Roy Marsden as the original Dalgliesh and have since seen Martin Shaw and the latest, I think, Bertie Carvel. The places I can't name as I am only guessing at the novels. For anyone who doesn't know Roy Marsden he was the tall one of the Driscoll brothers in Only Fools and Horses, a bit different from Adam Dalgliesh.

I'm afraid not, Dave. :(

If I tell you the two places on the map are 'Wingfield' and 'Denton' perhaps you will know. The latter of the two may be the one which will help. The program was 15 series in length, although some of the latter series were maybe only one or two episodes, and ran from 1992 to 2010. The series also won two BAFTA awards and six National Television Awards.

Another clue I could give, but I won't, is in your answer above. ;) :D

Google to the rescue, below is a copy and paste from IMDB. I didn't realise A Touch of Frost ran for so long.

A Touch of Frost is a British crime drama series that on ITV in the UK from 1992 - 2010 and is based on the novels by R.D. Wingfield and was one of the longest running TV series in television series. The series takes place in the fictional town of Denton.

The episode 'Fun Times for Swingers' had Christopher Driscoll playing Bob Bowker.
