I think this is a great tribute to the fans who have probably watch their team for many, many years.

Swedish club AIK's unique celebration with their oldest fans

Swedish club AIK pay tribute to their elderly fans by walking out with 12 senior club members - all aged between 81 and 96 - before Sunday's league match against Gefle.

Just been looking at the half-time scores in the League Cup matches and note that the ex-Everton player Steven Naismith has given Norwich a 1-0 lead againt his old club. I bet Everton are pi**ed off! :D

After watching England play Slovenia last night I believe the new manager Gareth Southgate has got his hands full gelling our world class players into a winning team. I do believe the majority our players are world class and skilful they just don't seem to gel as a team. Our defence last night was atrocious our attacking players weren't much better; at one point I actually thought our players must have a bet on the opposition being the first to score !!

Gareth Southgate has done very well with our Under21's let us hope he can knock a few heads together with the older players and get them to the top of their game when playing for England. Scotland next, we mustn't lose to them... ;) :StGeorge:

I've just been looking at the following statistics on the BBC sport website for this afternoon's match between Watford and Hull.

The result was Watford 1-0 Hull. :D

Another interesting statistic from this afternoon from the Manchester United v Burnley match at Old Trafford which ended 0-0. Manchester United had 37 shots on goal. That's an average of one shot every 2.4 minutes without scoring.

A well deserved position for him to be in after all the hard work he has put in to get there. I am not a big fan of knights/dames but I expect Andy Murray will be our next sporting knight.

Lets not ignore the fact that Andy's brother Jamie has also become the men's number one in the men's doubles. Well done to him.

I will be interesting to see if England retain all three points they earned tonight against Scotland or if FIFA will deduct any of them for the wearing of the poppy on the armband.

I've just read this story:

Dan Evans: Britain's latest tennis star snubbed by Kevin Pietersen

I wonder if the comment by 'KP' in his 'tweet' (see image) is representative of others in his sport and maybe the reason why England's cricketers tend to disappoint more than they please. :D

Too much money and nothing to do ? may lead to a sort of " party on life "
