SportsTalk

Post by Mel » Tue Jan 28, 2014 7:06 pm

Although a keen fan of most sports football is my favourite. Not having Sky Television my Premiership football watching is usually Match of The Day on the BBC or listening on 5Live or TalkSport radio. But having BT broadband I now get live Premiership football on the internet (Merseyside derby tonight) advertised as free to BT users but I think my increasing BT bill helps to pay for it, although I am not complaining.

Do you participate in any sport as a competitor or as a fan and how do you get to see your sport; myself I am definitely an armchair sport supporter but what about you ?

A good result for the red half of Liverpool Boatbuilder and a good game to watch for the neutral. I must say also I am quite impressed with the coverage from BT, camera angles and commentary and picture quality very good.

The picture quality is far better online with BT Sport than Sky Sports online, Mel.

For my sins I've been an Aston Villa supporter for more years than I can remember, I started going to see them with my Dad as a child when living in the Midlands. I'm still hoping for them to get back to the good old days when we used to be a top club.
It was a good match last night Liverpool/Everton. I love football although it's mainly from the armchair these days.

I believe you have a royal prince as a fellow supporter DorothyAnn, although I don't think his dad took him when he was a kid :)

Another big game at the top of the premiership tonight, Spurs v Man. City, fingers crossed the home side get the same result as the home side at last nights Merseyside derby. It is certainly tight at the top and the bottom of that division this season.

Changing sport but it appears the lady cricketers in Aussieland seem to be doing better than the gentlemen did

Installed my BT top box yesterday and also watched the Liverpool v Everton match, yes I enjoyed it and the picture was much better than what we have been used too. Tennis followed and then was late for bed if that is possible. :D

Still haven't managed to tune the controller yet - WIP.

I have to say that I had you at the top of my help list when I was doing the installation yesterday. :)

I'm afraid I wouldn't have been much use on the installation of the BT box SB as I don't have one, so I'm not familiar with them. I get BT Sport through my Sky Box.

Man City certainly ran Spurs ragged tonight although two bad decisions by the officials spoilt the game for the Tottenham supporters, but those sort of decisions (disallowed goal and dodgy penalty) usually even themselves out over the season. Although that is no consolation for any Spurs fan tonight.
