And they owe that to their goalkeeper John Ruddy who made some well timed brave saves.

I'm not really into sport so don't understand a lot of things. Our lovely young lady who won the toboggan in the Winter Olympics is certainley a very fit lady but do you really need to be an athlete to compete in that discipline? Surely Ken Deller would have made a quicker time, especially at his 70's weight? ;)

Not to sure if you need to be an athlete Frankiesays but in my opinion you need to be slightly insane :)

My son has just completed a 22K off road coastal run that involves rough terrain, climbing over boulders, running through water , he came 2nd in his age group and 8th overall

I have just been looking through the Premier League fixtures for the remainder of the season and noted rather strange kick-off times for the fixtures of the weekend of 11th/14th April. These are as they appear on the BBC website (See the first screenshot below). I have since discovered that all the League fixtures through to the Conference Leagues and the FA Cup Semi-finals will start seven minutes later than the start times they would normally be as it is the weekend of the 25th Anniversary of the Hillsborough Disaster. The FA website gives the details in this link:
http://www.thefa.com/news/2014/mar/hill ... ute-210314

Recently I was also looking at the Liverpool FC website and noticed that they have a number of friendlies planned before the 2014/15 season starts and again here they are very strange kick-off times - near midnight - and they are all showing up as 'Home' matches as well. Most pre-season friendlies are usually played away. I wondered if this is also something to do with that. However, I could find no mention of it on the Liverpool FC website. (See the second screenshot)

I can understand the late kick off times to commemorate the anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy but since the advent of Sky's dominance over our football the times for match kick offs have been geared to the whims of the advertisers and to hell with the supporters...unless they subscribe to Sky that is!

I much preferred our football league games to be played on Saturday afternoons, not Sunday dinnertimes or afternoons or Monday evenings neither.

I don't think it is anything to do with the advertisers or even Sky/BT Sport, Mel. I think it is all down to the FA. Under normal circumstances they won't allow matches to be televised at the same time that the bulk of the remaining matches are being played as they probably believe it will stop many people attending the matches at the ground and paying the extortionate entrance fees that help line everyone's pockets. Personally though, I can't see why a dedicated fan of one club who regularly goes to watch at the ground would miss going to see his or her team in favour of watching a team they are not a fan of on the TV.

The main exception to this is usually the last day of the season when all 10 Premier League matches kick off at the same time and two of them are usually televised.

With only five games to go you would have thought the Norwich City board would have left that decision until the end of season.

Neil Adams who is taking over is in a good position though, if they get relegated Chris Hughton will be the culprit but if they stay up Neil Adams will be the saviour.

I don't think the sacking of Chris Hughton is too much of a surprise.

Lowestoft's Anthony Ogogo won his sixth professional fight last night in Las Vegas beating Jonel Tapia in the third round by a technical knock out. Well done Anthony and fingers crossed that Lowestoft Town football club can win their game tomorrow and gain promotion and make it a make it a bank holiday weekend double for Lowestoft sports.

Well done Anthony.

Maybe it is about time we painted "his" post box gold and put a crown on it.
