I didn't see the game, boatbuilder, but I'll bet your pulse rate doubled. To go all out to score four goals and not concede one must have needed nerves of steel. It would have been a crying shame for Liverpool not to have reached the Final and with either Spurs or Ajax as their opponents I think there's another winning night on the horizon. I can't see Man City losing to Brighton next Sunday, mind you I couldn't see Liverpool beating Barcelona, so the winning the Champions League isn't a bad consolation. drinker1 dancer1

If you couldn't see Liverpool beating Barcelona, then that means Brighton can beat Man City, Dave (providing we also beat Wolves).

Nothing is impossible. I 'know' a Brighton supporter on another forum who has had my support whilst his team has been struggling to avert relegation (and successfully) so he is going to 'ensure' his team return the favour on Sunday, ;) even if they only draw, providing we win. :D

For Liverpool to beat Barcelona after coming back from three nil down must be one of the best results of the modern game. Well done Liverpool.

What price for a Chelsea vs Arsenal Europa League Final as well?

Who knows? ;)

And as Mel said, another exceptional result in Amsterdam tonight.

Just came across this on the Liverpool Echo website. (diverts to the website).

Chelsea go through to play Arsenal in the Europa League Final after drawing 2-2 on aggregate with Eintracht Frankfurt, then winning 4-3 on penalties. :StGeorge: dancer1

I've I don't think I've ever seen a penalty saved like the Chelsea goalkeeper saved the fourth Frankfurt penalty in tonight's penalty shoot-out.

So four English sides now dominate the European finals. :D

No it wasn't Boatbuilder, a poor advert for the Premiership; but these games often turn out like that. But we had a couple of magnificent semi-finals :StGeorge: Well done Liverpool :)

Unfortunately they do sometimes turn out that way, Mel.

Of course yesterday also had a shadow hanging over it, as a former Atletico Madrid player who also played for Arsenal - José Antonio Reyes - was tragically killed in a car crash, along with two of his cousins as they travelled between Utrera, where he was born, and Seville. Very sad indeed.

Well done Liverpool, especially to Jurgen Klopp who showed José Mourinho how to smile in victory or defeat. drinker1

 Who's José Mourinho? ;)

I've had my own nickname for him for many years, Dave. 'Misery-guts' :D
