General Election 2015

Post by boatbuilder » Sat Jan 24, 2015 11:39 am

Although it's over 3 months away, I thought it would be interesting to start this topic and hopefully we'll get some very debatable and no doubt amusing issues posted over the coming months.

I'll start of with an image of something that made me smile when I saw it on my BBC News app last night and it relates to the heading under which the BBC decided to list it. An article about the proposed debates appearing under the 'Entertainment and Arts' heading. 'Entertainment'? Maybe, depending on how you would view it! Certainly not 'Arts' though - well not in my opinion anyway! :D

Bit shocking, according to this I should vote BNP!
Misnomer really, as Im a bit of an allsort; 40% BNP, 20% Conservative, 20% Labour and 20% Green.

Have you done this Funkychick? Interesting to see what other people get, to see if the site results are liked well or disliked.

I did the survey, however the result will not be influencing which way I vote. Interesting to note that 684 from my area had taken the survey and the Greens were top and the BNP were bottom of the pile.

My result reckoned I was a green but then that is for ME to make up MY mind and not a computer program.

The other day I did 2 computer generated quizzes the first was 10 questions to tell your age well I was 26 ( of course it was correct haha) the second to predict what age you will die guess what I died 30 years ago Thats how much value I put on computer generated questions

Quizzes/surveys such as these I treat as entertainment and the end result can be easily manipulated by concentrating on one policy through out the survey. So there you have it BB,the result was not UKIP.
I suppose if I lived in France I would be supporting Marine Le Pen according to the survey result. Just illustrates what a lot of rubbish can be generated.Enough said.

With a hundred days to go before polling takes place, TV, radio and the newspapers are full of political reporters keeping us informed of the latest news of those up for election. I am not fed up with it, as I am quite interested although sometimes I think there is to much reportage; but nothing that is said between now and when I cast my vote will change the way I vote and I expect it is the same for the majority of voters.
