General Election
As the election rolls near I thought it would be interesting to see what peoples views are after reading this article in the mail. They reckon that this election may be different and seats like Lowestoft/Waveney will cause an opportunity for UKIP.

Blimey I hope not.
I went into a shop and said, "Can someone sell me a kettle." The bloke said "Kenwood" I said, "Where is he?"

think I ll jump ship and emigrate if it does
Always be yourself because the people that matter don't mind, and the ones who mind, don't matter.
Re: Elections.
Problem as I see it is that none of the major parties have leaders that are charismatic and have true leadership qualities. Despite her 'questionable' policies, at least Margaret Thatcher had the guts to make policies that helped the UK, and then stick to them despite public opinion. If he was still alive, in May I'd be voting for Lord Sutch. As it is, despite my dislike for UKIP and their attempt to hide their nationalistic policies (much like the National Socialists), I fear that they will have an overwhelming success. It is even possible they may win a majority and become the next party in government. I sincerely hope not.

Re: Elections.
I don't go much by the Opinion Polls but there is one here from 2 days ago that that suggests it will be Labour. But when you look at some of the figures in the Guardian report, not too many rate Ed, as I don't. He could be their problem, depending on whether or not people vote for their local candidate and disregard who leads the party and will be the PM.

Cor Blimey, I hope not too, although I wouldn't leave town if we did. The only positive in my opinion of us getting a UKIP MP, is being able to see the look on Bob Blizzard's face as the returning officer reads out the resultJustStu2 wrote:Blimey I hope not.

Re: Elections.
I have just added a poll to this topic which will run for 28 days. Comments not necessary, but why not say how you THINK you will vote on May 7th.
Note: This IS a secret ballot - the one on May 7th isn't.

I think Ed Balls would make a better Labour leader - I still wouldn't vote for them mind you.

Re: General Election.
Early in March the Poll on this topic asked "As of now, how do you think you will vote at the General Election on May 7th?'.
That poll in which 11 people voted closed earlier this evening and I have taken a screenshot of it before deleting it.
Since the above question was asked you may have changed your mind about who you will vote for so please take part in this latest 'Update Poll' at the top of the page, even if you haven't changed your mind or even made your mind up yet. This poll will close the night before the General Election.
I will post a copy of the original poll for comparison on May 7th.

Re: General Election
It's too late now to vote in this poll, but you have until 10-pm tonight to vote in the real one.
Here is the result of the first 'Opinion Poll' posted on here in March for comparison with the one above. Make of it what you will!
