We already have another hitler his name is Farage
Always be yourself because the people that matter don't mind, and the ones who mind, don't matter.
Re: UK-EU Membership - What do YOU think? - POLL
This is the problem. Based on all arguments and reasons, I will 'probably' be voting 'out'. However, I do not like Farage, or his US counterpart, Trump. The ideals sound good, but the political leaders championing them, are very much modeled on Mussolini and Hitler. So far the only 'out' leader I have respectful feelings for, is Boris!

I agree Amansin, we are not voting for Farage, Cameron, Corbyn or Boris...we are voting to let the Government know whether we wish to leave or remain in the EU, it is not about whether we prefer a second hand car salesman, a toff, a lentil eating champagne socialist or a buffoonamansin wrote:This is the problem. Hi SeaGull, no apologies required, the handle leads people to think that I am Australian but it was gifted to me because of my frequent visits to that great country.
Of coarse many of the politicians if not all of them dropped clangers, irritated us by their repeated claims, misconstruing the truth, exaggerating almost beyond belief or just did not fit in with our own personal tastes..
one thing is certain if Cameron's & all his remain colleages predictions are correct and the leave side win we are in for a turbulent time for a while, but if they is wrong Cameron will certainly have egg on his face
I am banking on Leave to win and agree a reasonable settlement within a two year period and then we can trade with the EU and any one in the world who require our goods & services.
That is my utopia.
The biggest clanger of all was Farage’s poster and he has regretted it, but to the sound of your screaming I don’t think that man is a racist and he may be reveered in the future as the man who brought this country back from the brink,

51.8% to Leave.
Markets already messing about, with Sterling down 10% against the US dollar.

EU referendum: Brexit sparks calls for other EU votes
The UK's vote to leave the EU has sparked demands from far-right parties for referendums in other member states.
France's National Front leader Marine Le Pen said the French must now also have the right to choose. Dutch anti-immigration politician Geert Wilders said the Netherlands deserved a "Nexit" vote while Italy's Northern League said: "Now it's our turn".
The UK voted by 52% to 48% to leave the EU after 43 years. David Cameron has announced he will step down as PM. Global stock markets fell heavily on the news and the value of the pound has also fallen dramatically.
The European parliament has called a special session for next Tuesday. Analysts say EU politicians will fear a domino effect from Brexit that could threaten the whole organisation.

Re: UK-EU Membership - What do YOU think? - POLL
Lots of 'Food for thought' here: How will Brexit affect your finances?
Sterling is currently down 8% against the US$ and 6% against the € on last night's close.
My analysis of this is those who are worse-off now will be even more worse-off. One thing not mentioned in that article is that petrol and diesel will start increasing again, very soon in view of the low value of the £ against the US$.
PS. I forgot to mention - the cost of hosting this forum for the next year increased by £16 overnight, so all donations will be gratefully received.

Re: UK-EU Membership - What do YOU think? - POLL
I am happy with the result. Think we must give the markets a few days to settle before we start worrying to much about our finances and I think in the long run there is a good chance we will be better off. I notice Farage was the first leader to make a statement after the result this morning and I don't blame him for having his fifteen minutes because if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have had a referendum in the first place.
It will be interesting to watch in the coming months whether other 'exit' campaigns start and flourish in the remaining EU countries.
I have only one worry...will we still be allowed to enter the Eurovision Song Contest?

If we were allowed to enter the Eurovision song contest I don't think they would vote for our contestant.
Are well they don't vote for us now any way.
