Highlights and lowlights.

Here's an interesting link from Trinity House that tells all about the Lowestoft light houses as they once were.

The Lowestoft highlight as seen today.

Apparently Mum and Dad applied to live there when I was about 7 but it never happened how cool would that have been growing up in a lighthouse

I remember when the Happisburgh lighthouse came up for sale some years ago, I was seriously contemplating buying it just for the novelty of living there!

Well I never did!

I didn't know it existed, how on earth did it manage to get hit by machine gun fire in the war? Was it self-inflicted? What do they need volunteers for?
