Old Bus

Post by boatbuilder » Wed Feb 26, 2014 12:10 pm

My wife has just been catching up on 'Call the Midwife' - the BBC1 series set in the 1950's.

I just happened to notice a scene filmed on a single decker bus called 'Rosie' and noticed the registration plate CRN80. I know that was a Preston registration as many of the buses that used to run in Liverpool when I lived there were run by Ribble Motors who were based in Preston and many of their registration plates contained the letters 'RN'.

I googled the registration and came up with the following interesting link to the bus's history.
