Iconic

Post by Meryl » Thu Jan 23, 2014 10:04 pm

After resisting pressure to visit the Iconic I agreed to go to lunch today and I have to concede that it was very very good. Nice food and reasonable prices, I didn't totally care for the bright blue lights in the reception area but we found a table further round a corner which was perfect , all in all a good experience.

Out of all the pub restaurants I like the Iconic best of all I like the modern lighting and minimalistic interior The food is definitely better than Wetherspoons or Spring tide Its really nice down by the settee and fire area Did you go to the toilets at all Meryl now that's an experience I thought I was in Alice in wonderland land and my GS tells me the urinals light up and change colours as you wee into them ha ha

Its the restaurant part of Notleys Dorothy Ann

Were they also like this?

The mysterious case of the double toilet

Quote from article: "It was pretty much as you'd expect things to be, really, in a little WC. There was a sink, some paper towels, but oddly enough there were two toilets where you'd expect just one - full sized lavatories, they were, side by side - and no partition down the middle."

It is nice but not posh. Casual dress, we went at lunch time and there were young families there. Food example below

Many Thanks Meryl and FC. I will make sure I plan ahead and book a table to avoid disappointment.
