How to put a picture in the signature box

Post by alice » Mon Jan 11, 2010 12:16 am

Go into the User Control Panel--> Profile--> Edit Signature, all you can do is LINK to an image.

Use straight brackets (the automatic insert for the IMG code is a tab on the top of the typing box where you type in the posts, etc.) I used curly brackets here so you can see the code.

The best way to get images is to go to Google Images,
search for your image.
Under the thumbnails on Google Images you'll see the file size. Use a small file size image for avatars and signatures. I would keep it under 200kb.
Click on the thumbnail of the image you want....
this will take you to a page with frames... the web page will be below, a thumbnail of the image on top.
Click on the top thumbnail until you get to the image all by itself, without the rest of the webpage around it.
The address that is in the address line of your browser is the one you want to use in between the IMG code brackets.
