Stamps

For a few years I have been collecting some 'First Day Covers' (FDC's) of UK postage stamps, mostly purchased through Royal Mail at the time of issue.

Today I received five FDC's which I bought from a seller on eBay for the princely sum of just 99p plus postage of £2.40. These were issued in 1999 for the forthcoming Millenium. Although not addressed as are the ones I purchase through Royal Mail, each one of these was instead signed by a well-known person and was accompanied with a card giving details of the signatory. All five of the covers are in perfect condition, considering they are approaching 25 years since issue.
