Re: From Our Easels
I'd already seen it Sheila. I've now remembered who she reminded me of, an older cousin of mine who lives in Merseyside whom I haven't seen for some 20+ years at my mum's funeral.

A very good portrait SheilaO. I did guess it was Judi Dench but I thought it also looked a lot like Judith Chalmers.SheilaO wrote: but here is one of mine....

I was born in Aintree Hospital, and lived in Orrell Park, later moved to Croxteth, when that housing estate was just being built, it was a lovely place to live then. If I remember rightly the 61 bus went to Seaforth.

Re: From Our Easels
Yes, I know the area very well Sheila. I used to catch the train at Orrell Park to go to Ormskirk to meet up with my wife-to-be who lived in Parbold, having caught the 61 bus to there from Seaforth. I also worked for a few years at a company on the Aintree Industrial Estate in the late 1960's also on the 61 route. When you say Aintree Hospital, I think that one was known as Walton Hospital unless you mean the one where my children were born - Fazakerley Hospital - as it was in the early 70's. I myself was born at home in Seaforth.

Love your picture SheilaO, excellent likeness.
I'll try to join in with the spirit by offering a pastel I did a while back. Hope you like it.

I'll have the pear please, SheilaO - as long as it's sufficiently ripe so it's not too hard.
