I came across this interesting article earlier today, on the BBC’s News site:

“In the summer of 1937, a nine-month-old girl was hidden with her hands tied in a blackberry bush on the South Downs. She was found by sheer chance by a family of holidaymakers. Now 80, Anthea Ring has spent most of her life wondering why she was left to die and who her parents were. Thanks to a leap forward in genetic genealogy she finally has some answers.”
