Nikon were left red-faced when they announced the winner of a photography competition - without realising the picture was a fake.
The camera company's Singapore office revealed that amateur snapper Chay Yu Wei had claimed the coveted prize of a trolley bag for his impressive shot. He claimed to have taken a perfectly framed photograph of a low-flying plane over Singapore, shot by chance as he was climbing a ladder.
But eagle-eyed photographers noticed one thing was wrong with the picture - it had clearly been Photoshopped. A faint white box can be seen around the plane, suggesting it had been added to the picture with some computer wizardry.
