1/ The Shipwrights/Joiners Shop in the East Prefab at Brooke Marine, Lowestoft in 1956. I had the privilege of seeing some of these brilliant tradesmen at work before Brooke Yachts closed in 1992. Truly, they are the last of an era and such a great loss to the town.
2/ / A period photo of Pond Farm, Mutford Wood, Mutford. Leonard Baxter and in the background are George & Charlotte Baxter, 1911.

Thanks to Russell Walker and Facebook.

Thanks again to Russell Walker/Facebook for two more photos from his collection.

1/ 'Haymaking in the Barnby area. c. 1914.' This is one of Russell's colourised photos. I'm not sure how he achieves the effect, I'll have to ask him.

2/ 'Masonry repairs to Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, Gordon Road, Lowestoft, by Derek Almond during May 1992.'

1/ 'Net-making at Kessingland. c. 1914. (Colourised). (Two trades covered such work - locally at least; Braiders (Net-Makers) make trawl nets where as Beatsters (Net-Menders) make herring nets and repaired nets in general).' Thanks to Russell Walker/Facebook for the photo and information.

2/ 'Lowestoft fishermen mending their nets, 1934.' Thanks to Pinterest for providing both the photo and Information.
