A couple of 'recent' photos from Bob Johnson/Facebook. No date for the second one, perhaps someone who has 'met' Mary can have an educated guess.

1/ 'Lifeguards practice, 1980.'

2/ 'May Elliston, Traffic Warden.'
A Google search indicates that May Daisy Elliston was Lowestofts first female traffic warden and retired in October 1981.

Her death was recorded as 5th April 2016 aged 85.

The first photo is from Bob Johnson and the only information he gives is 'WVS'. Any further information is welcome. Second is an eBay photo that comes with 'Lowestoft. N.C.E. Free Churches 1905', once again, any further info' is welcome.

2/ Another puzzle, this time from eBay. 'Unidentified Occasion, Lowestoft Town Hall.'

1/ 'The local Lowestoft townsfolk have flocked to look at the wrecked sea wall and undermined Harbour railway track at the Old (Northern) Extension, Hamilton Road end, northeast Hamilton Dock. The storms and catastrophic flooding affected much of the east coast of England during February 1938. Repair work went on for 18 hours per day, employing 150 men. This part of the Harbour line remained open until the late 1950s, I think.' Thanks to Russell Walker and Facebook.

2/ 'Lowestoft, tram decorated for carnival, c1925.' Thanks to eBay for this photo of people taking part in the carnival.

Sorry for being late replying to your post, kerch, I've found the following information, posted by Clive Fance, on Facebook. I've also found Gervais Rentoul's photo.

'Could be Lt.Col.Gervais Rentoul and his wife after the 1922 election'.

Two eBay photos, the first is of people gathered for the Lowestoft regatta 1911. The second is of brave Coxswain Swan Of Lowestoft Lifeboat, 1923. The article explains how he earned the medal.

Russell Walker provides the next two with the information.

1/ A Policeman rescues 1-year-old Christine Philpott during the infamous flooding of 1953 in Grosvenor Road, Kirkley, Lowestoft. Photo was taken on Sunday 1st February 1953 by the late Stuart Heydinger. Does anyone recognise the policeman, please?

2/ Three outgoing young ladies strolling along The Esplanade near the Claremont Pier and having a spiffing time. 1930s I reckon.

I took this video with my Canon compact camera, direct from the TV screen, on Tuesday night and uploaded it to YT. It was featured on the late night ITV Anglia News and I thought it worth posting in this topic. I'm sure Dave won't mind me hi-jacking his topic. :D

1/ 'A game of Nap - Possibly at Albion Stores', comes from eBay. I think the man on the right is Robert Hook.
2/ 'Organ Grinder and Donkey at Lowestoft, Suffolk, 1905-10'. Apologies for the watermarks and thanks to eBay.
