New Lowestoft Parliamentary Constituency

Post by boatbuilder » Wed Nov 09, 2022 12:35 am

The link below is to the Boundaries Commision for England website where details of the proposed changes to the parliamentary constituency boundaries from 2023 can be viewed.

Lowestoft seems set to become a constituency in its own right and will not be part of the existing Waveney constituency which will change its name to 'Waveney Valley'.

The map in the link is interactive and at different zoom levels can display either more or less data, as appropriate, which can be selected from the relevant menus along the top. The most useful seems to be the boundaries one. First enter your postcode in the search box to highlight where you are on the map before using the menu. I have pre-set the link to the Eastern Region although it can still be used for postcodes elsewhere in the country.

Made for interesting reading/viewing. Not convinced by the accuracy, it feels to me that the Waveney Valley region would be moving from where it was originally.
