Opening and closing

Post by funkychick » Fri Feb 14, 2014 9:59 pm

I see the Leather shop opp the PO have a closing down notice saying they are moving to High street but that's where they came from seems strange

The card shop in Kirkley is closing down, nice couple had that for quite a good few years

Right by Lings so I would imagine there is a good chance of flooding, unless they have built flood protection.

Lings only lost about £1,000,000 worth of vehicles in the earlier floods.

Heard a rumour that MacDonalds were going to build a new drive through at the top of Denmark Road and close the one in town down.

I can't see the sense in doing that, if the rumour is true. Surely having the one where it is at present is more sensible for those people in town. I assume when you say the 'top of Denmark Road' you are referring to the west end.

I was told near the Lake Lothing pub, so I envisaged that piece of wasteland by the roundabout.

The current one does NOT have the drive through which if there was one at the roundabout it would.

I had a bit of a shock when I needed a piece of bathroom furniture today when I dashed over to the Harfreys industrial estate only to find out that coopers huge store had been closed since Christmas. What a shame it was a very useful store, obviously not enough customers.

That's a great shame. The shop in Gt Yarmouth centre closed some time ago also. sadface4

Lovely to see you all again :D The Jolly Sailors has started to advertise for staff full and part time and by the note on the door it is saying to post their C.V's through the letterbox
