art brush

Post by seagull » Sat Jan 01, 2022 10:46 pm

sometime back, on tv but it may be youtube, and unable to find it was a watercolour brush used in sable, queen victoria used it then all inspiring artists started using them. This brush is made in Lowestoft only costing between 60to 100 quid...the making of the brush is not easy, art in itself...they are still made in Lowestoft but I can't find where and the art shops and various artists know here and London do not know what I am talking about.
this is the only place in the world that makes them. If anyone knows the name of the place I will be very grateful, thank you

You're welcome, seagull. I can't answer your question above, though. :D

Seagull I've heard of them too ,at one time it was the place to work .To have a job there was difficult to get, was a better paid than alot of other factorys in the town.
When I was at art school I could n't afford them & that was in the early sixties .
