I caught this tiny fly - about 5mm long - on a rose petal this morning just before it flew off.

Good photo, many a time the ring has come away and I've had to used the tried and tested method.

Thanks Kerch. My wife sometimes hasn't the strength to open a can with the ring pull; she says 'How do old people get on when they are as hard to open as this'...I haven't the heart to tell her that she is now one those 'old people'kerch wrote:Good photo, many a time the ring has come away and I've had to used the tried and tested method.

There's a gaget for opening those tins ,I'd had one for years . Have a look on amazon they are sure to sell them.

Red Admiral butterfly, whose numbers have increased by 75% this year according to the latest Big Butterfly Count. This picture was taken on Tuesday in Gorleston, where we spotted ten on some buddleia which was still in bloom...

Got my Macro lens out of moth balls.Was n't very impressed with the results.

Sometimes getting in very close you need to use a tripod Kerch and a remote shutter release or timer, otherwise camera shake can be exaggerated.kerch wrote:Got my Macro lens out of moth balls.Was n't very impressed with the results.
