These were just four of a handful of leaves still clinging to this tree.

These poppies were grown from seed heads taken from plants that where growing wild outside of our office:

Re: Trees, Plants & Flowers
I planted this Amaryllis about 3-4 weeks ago but has only shown any real signs of doing anything this past week. Hopefully it will flower for Christmas.

Re: Trees, Plants & Flowers
Oak Marble Galls. This is what I found out about them...The Oak Marble Gall (also known as 'Oak Nut') is caused by a tiny gall wasp, Andricus kollari. Clusters of Oak Marble Galls can be found on oak twigs. They turn brown as they mature and emergence holes, from which the asexual adults have escaped, can be seen from autumn onwards....there was no emergence holes in the ones I found (although I have seen them before with a hole), so I imagine the little wasp was still inside these.

Took this photo of a flowering shrub in Everitt's Park on Christmas Eve. I think it's the genus Ribes - which includes Black and Red Currants.

Re: Trees, Plants & Flowers
I posted a picture of an Amaryllis in early December, further up this page. Whilst I am still waiting for it to flower, here it is today.
